Late Harvest & Noble Grains

The Alsace wines presented here, as their name does not indicate, are harvested late subject to strict regulations. Thanks to the development of Botritis cinerea which causes the evaporation of the water contained in the berries, they must have a good concentration of sugar and alcohol at harvest and can only be presented for sale after 18 months of breeding.

Wines produced rarely and in small quantities

Great Alsace wines, mellow and powerful par excellence, obtained with patience and concentration. With grapes harvested late and overripe, full of sunshine and with the grapes draining their water.

The Vendanges Tardives presented here are harvested late and subject to strict regulations. Indeed, they can only be presented for sale after 18 months of maturing.

Only Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer grapes can benefit from this appellation:

    For Late Harvest:

They must have a good concentration of sugar and alcohol at harvest.

    For Sélections Grains Nobles:

The same applies, with one additional detail. The concentration of sugar and alcohol is even higher thanks to the development of Botritis cinerea, which causes the evaporation of the water contained in the grape berries.
