Gewurztraminer

Tasting

The view

The colour is intense, yellow with light golden reflections. The red colour of the grapes naturally influences the colour of the wine.

The nose

is a real aromatic palette, rich and exuberant, with a powerful and complex bouquet. It is an explosion of exotic fruits (lychee, pineapple, mango...), flowers (rose in particular), spices (gingerbread, clove, pepper). Frequent aromas of honey and ripe fruit also contribute to an incomparable impression of richness.

The taste

It is a full-bodied wine, well-structured with fullness and fatness. The freshness

is always more discreet than for other Alsatian grape varieties.

Harvested in over-ripening, the Gewurztraminer gives sweet wines to

aromatic complexity.

Gastronomy

Gewurztraminer is the very image of the originality and typicality of Alsace wines. It goes perfectly with spicy dishes and strong cheeses such as Munster, but also with foie gras and the strongest spices or aromatic herbs.

It is also the ideal partner for many Asian dishes: Chinese, Indonesian, Malaysian, Thai and Indian cuisine.
